Weekend Recap 5/10-5/11
Last Friday May 10th we headed out to I-80 Speedway to race with the NWAAS Super Late Models with the Swartz Chassis. I started 5th in the heat race and finished 3rd. In the A Feature I started 7th and worked my way up to the lead around lap 6. But then starting falling back as the race progressed. I ended up 5th but had a 2nd place car, I just made some driving mistakes. The car is definitely much faster than last year, and I think a win is right around the corner.
On Saturday May 11th we headed out to Junction Motor Speedway to race with the NWASS Crate Late Models with the Lazer Chassis. I started 5th in the heat race and finished 2nd. In the A feature I started 10th and made my way to 4th rather quickly. Then I stalled out for a while and only ended up passing one more car to finish 3rd. I tried a couple of new things on the car and they didn’t work as well as my normal baseline setup. So, I plan to go back to my baseline for next week and hopefully I can get back to the winners circle!
